Nigerian singer Asake wins the Future Awards Africa prize for music at the just concluded Future Africa Awards hosted by Veeiye and James Gardiner.
Popularly Ahmed Ololade also known as Asake won the Prize for Music at the future Africa awards held on October 22, 2023. The awards celebrate young people between the ages of 18 and 31, who have made outstanding achievements in the year under consideration.
Furthermore the award recognizes artists who have made a significant impact in the industry and earned local and international repute during the year in review.

Asake’s win speaks to his testament as a rising Nigerian star. Asake received a nomination at the recently canceled MTV EMA Awards in the newly introduced category ‘Best Afrobeats.’ Ex-Big Brother Naija star Veeiye and Ghanaian actor James Gardiner hosted the award show.
